When Office Scan is first installed on the W7 client, an incoming firewall rule "Trend Micro Office Scan Listener" is created and correctly assigned the profile type "Domain".
The University does not have a central license for cloud use, but departments are free to purchase Trend for their cloud deployments as needed.
The other two items are: Trend Micro Office Scan is currently licensed for UGA-owned computers.
Our license allows for IT departments to set up their own Office Scan servers if they so desire, and to enable additional features that may not be installed by default in the campus-wide service.
Trend Micro Office Scan 10.0 SP1, Office Scan's firewall feature disabled. clients, W7 Firewall enabled W7 client network profile type = "DOMAIN" and remains "DOMAIN" during the problem occurring.
Active Directory Domain but newest domain controller is Server 2008 (not R2).
Since the client's network profile is set to "Domain" during all this, the Office Scan master server can no longer initiate communication with the W7 client, can't push out updates.
